Not that a map can't have indigenous troops that guard key strategic points on the map. Weren't you guys planning that from the start? Maybe not in ALL multiplayer maps, but some would be nice. Spices things up to a 'mutual fiend' level.

I found out 1.04 had a skirmish mode, and I managed to get that version to work. As I was playing, I thought about a Combine shield structure, which can obstruct the enemy's progress. Alright, new idea. All players start off with a fixed income and allied with eachother. There is plenty of room for expansion, basebuilding, and building a strong army. BUT... there is a traitor among the players. He is the Phantom, and recieves extra resources over time, and he identity is unknown....

You probably put this in, but using the mosue to make a bounding box to select all units inside would be very useful. Also, there's another idea I have about selection which I found on some other real time strategy games. Say you have 3 metrocops and 2 combine soldiers all selected together. There ...

Also, there's the possibility of adding superweapons to the Rebels and Combine. Ideally, the superweapon would be targeted by the player at a designated circular area. New Requitisition Point model?
I was thinking the boxes and a pole was a bit bland for a requisition/control point. Maybe take a Company of Heroes approach? With some barbed wire, boxes/sandbags and a flag/pole?
